Scott Paul McGinnis is a Ph.D. student in history at the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on early Chinese intellectual history and historiography. He first became interested in the digital humanities while pursuing a master’s degree at Washington University in St. Louis, where he worked on TEI-based text encoding projects for that university’s Digital Library Services unit.
