Date:
Fri, October 17, 2014 - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location:
D-Lab: Convening Room (356 Barrows Hall)
Description
Type:

This workshop is designed to help you learn about Factor Analysis in a practical context. In this workshop I will be using Stata to undertake the Factor Analysis.

Factor Analysis is a statistical technique that can uncover relationship patterns in your data. It is used to analyze large numbers of dependent variables to detect certain aspects of independent variables (i.e. factors) affecting those dependent variables -- without directly analyzing the independent measures. It allows researchers to reduce the number of elements to be studied and guide the construction of multivariate models.

Participants should come with Stata experience, and an understanding of correlation coefficients and basic regression modeling.
