Location:
Barrows 356: D-Lab Convening Room
Description
Type:

Come learn how to turn your data into beautiful maps using R!

We will begin my making some static maps before discussing how to use Leaflet, one of the most popular libraries for creating web maps. We’ll cover the entire workflow from raw data to interactive map all within R, so your analysis and mapping are entirely reproducible. We’ll also learn how to save this data as an HTML file so you can display your map on any website. Bring your computer, as most of the time will be spent workshopping in R: from basic map plotting to advanced features in Leaflet. Also, bring your own spatial data if you have any and we can spend time at the end of class going through it.
