For geospatial data, I can provide guidance on open-source options for analysis, cartography, and web-app development (TileMill, QGis, Mapbox.js, CartoDB, PostGIS, CartoCSS). I can also get you started on making your research reproducible using R and implementing version control using Git. For projects with databases, I can assist with database design and complex queries. Other interests include website development, ShinyApps and environmental health.
