This is a two-part workshop series on Gephi, an open-source network analysis tool available at gephi.org. The first workshop in the series will introduce Gephi and the basics of its functionality, while the second will cover more advanced topics. Please install gephi prior to the workshop. Day 1 (Feb 20; 2:30-5:30pm) • Network Analysis Basics (Network Structure, Types of Networks, Measuring Networks, Random Graphs) • Gephi Basics (Installing, the Interface) • Importing Edge Lists • Importing Node Attributes Using Spreadsheets • Manipulating Graphs • General Statistics and Filtering Functionality • Export/File Formats • Styling and Preview Day 2 (Feb 27; 2:30-5:30pm) • Network Analysis Principles (Dynamic Network Statistics, Community Detection, N-partite Graphs, Pathfinding) • Filtering Methods • Measuring Subsections of a Network • Dynamic Networks • Force, Hierarchical, and Plotted Layouts • In-Depth Examination of Exemplary Network
