As a PhD graduate student in the Digital Humanities at UC-Merced, Elijah Meeks specialized in databases, spatial analysis, topic modeling, and visualization. He worked alongside Ruth Mostern to create the Digital Gazetteer of the Song Dynasty, which uses MySQL and ArcGIS to visualize and analyze politics in medieval China. Elijah now works as the digital humanities specialist at Stanford University, where he assists Stanford faculty in digital humanities project design, visualization, and software development oriented toward the creation of digital scholarly media.
