Isabelle Cohen is a PhD student in Economics. Prior to starting her PhD, she worked as a Research Associate at Duke University, and as a Research Manager at the Centre for Microfinance in Chennai, India. Her research interests are primary in development economics and public finance, particularly around impact evaluation, governance and international development aid.
Hero Ashman is a PhD student in Sociology. Before starting her PhD, she worked as a Research Assistant at Haas School of Business and the University of Pennsylvania. Her current research interests lie at the intersection of economic inequality, gender and race in the United States. Hero has experience working with data from the Census and the Survey of Consumer Finances using Stata and R.
