Introduction to Qualitative Research, Coding, and Thematic Analysis

This workshop can serve as an introduction for participants who are new to qualitative research, as well as a refresher for those who have limited training. Beginning with an introduction to basic concepts (e.g., traditional methodologies and methods), this workshop will dedicate a significant amount of time to explaining the process of creating, organizing, and applying codes (i.e., ideas, concepts, categories) before discussing several key topics regarding engagement in thematic analysis (e.g., different types of themes and use of an analysis plan).
