I provide consultations for qualitative research, including helping with choosing a methodology and methods, organizing interview guides, engaging in coding and analysis, including creating codes, drafting a code book, and applying and analyzing codes. I also help with understanding the benefits of using qualitative data analysis (QDA) software and the differences between programs. I use and am a trainer for MAXQDA, and can provide more substantive support for this particular program. As I also manage the qualitative workshops and presentations offered at D-Lab, I can help you identify potentially helpful offerings (e.g., already-scheduled presentations) and/or arrange a special offering (e.g., a workshop introducing QDA software) for your research group or class. If you'd like to meet with me, please submit a request via this system. Your request should include both (1) an explanation of your consultation needs and (2) at least a few hour-long blocks of time when you would be able to meet at D-Lab in Barrows Hall. Please note that I typically schedule meetings for after 12 noon.
