Josh is a medical student and researcher in the UCSF Joint Medical Program specializing in mapping and geospatial analysis. Josh also serves as an instructor for the D-Lab.
Come learn how to turn your data into beautiful webmaps using R and Leaflet, one of the most popular libraries for creating web maps. We’ll cover how to build the entire workflow from raw data to interactive map all within R, so your analysis and mapping are entirely reproducible. We’ll also learn how to save this data as an HTML file so you can display your map on any website. Bring your computer, as most of the time will be spent workshopping in R: from basic map plotting to advanced features in Leaflet. Also, bring your own spatial data if you have any and we can spend time at the end of class going through it.

Download the folder from Dropbox as a zip file, unzip it and then click on the file titled mapping-in-r.html at the beginning of the workshop. Also, please make sure you have RStudio installed on your computer
