**Note: This workshop was rescheduled from Tuesday, April, 21 to Thursday April 30, 2015 **

This workshop will introduce address geocoding - the process of determining the geographic location of a street address. The first part of this workshop will be an introduction to the process of geocoding and the various online and desktop tools available for geocoding. We will emphasize tools that do not require programming, including Google Earth Pro, the Census Geocoding Tool, and ArcGIS. Then, we will take a detailed look at geocoding with ArcGIS with some hands-on exercises.  We will also discuss approaches for scaling up to millions of addresses.

Please have ArcGIS installed on your computer before the workshop if you want to do the hands-on exercises. If you are UCB student, faculty or Staff you can request an educational copy via the UCB Geospatial Innovation Facility (GIF) online form.
