When & Where
Date:
Wed, March 19, 2014 - 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Location:
D-Lab Convening Room
Description
Type:

This training is meant for those tasked with administering a Wordpress site but are new to Wordpress (or want to level up their skills.)  We will be going over topics such as backwards engineering, Wordpress content artchitecutre (posts, pages, tags, categories, media), free and premium themes, site building elements (widgets, menus, shortcodes), plugins and special features, and migrating your site.

This will be a hands-on training and participants are expected to have an installation ready to go so that they can start building. It is ideal if participants come with full access to the site they are currently administrating. In addition, "Sandbox" distributions will be available on-site so that participants can develop their skills without worrying about messing up a live site.

If you have questions about this requirement, please email the instructor at rterman@berkeley.edu .
