Please note: This is a three-part workshop series. The first session will occur Monday, October 2 from 1:00-4:00pm. The second session will occur Monday, October 9 from 1:00-4:00pm. The third session will occur Monday, October 23 from 1:00-4:00pm.

This three-part workshop series will teach you how to collect data from the web in Python. We will cover the following topics:

Part 1: APIs

Part 2: HTML / CSS and introduction to webscraping with BeautifulSoup

Part 3: Webscraping continued

Prior knowledge: We will assume a basic knowledge of Python. Attendance at D-Lab's previous Python for Everythong workshop series should provide a sufficient foundation. 

Technology requirements: Laptop required. Please make sure you have the requisite software by following these instructions.
