Chris Krogslund is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at UC Berkeley. His research interests are in the political economy of advanced industrial democracies, as well as social science methodology.
This 2-hour workshop is geared towards users with previous knowledge of Stata looking to carry out data analysis in R. It will offer participants a side-by-side comparison of how the same analytical procedures can be implemented in both environments. Topics to be covered include data manipulation, summary statistics, classical hypothesis tests, regression, regression diagnostics, and plotting. Basic familiarity with R is assumed.
