Description
Type: 

The workshop will provide an intensive introduction to R, spanning a total of 12 hours of instruction over 4 days.  Topics to be covered include:

  • Importing, manipulating, and exporting data
  • Working with R data objects (vectors, matrices, lists, dataframes)
  • Carrying out statistical analyses (descriptive statistics, hypothesis tests, regression, regression diagnostics, matching, regression discontinuity, sensitivity analysis)
  • Programming (functions, loops, if/else statements, and simulations)
  • Plotting and graphics 

 No prior experience with R is assumed, though participants should have a good grasp of introductory-level statistics (including familiarity with hypothesis testing and regression).
