Gift Kiti, MPH is a public health specialist who currently serves as a Program Manager at the Institute of Global Health Sciences at UCSF. Gift is also a Data Science Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley where she recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Health in May 2020. Her professional career spans leading organizations like Doctors without Borders in Cameroon, Clinton Health Access Initiative in Kenya and Swaziland as well as Jacaranda Maternity Hospital in Kiambu, Kenya. She is the founder of Zawadi Healthcare Services on the outskirts of Mombasa, Kenya.
I am a PhD Student in the Travers Department of Political Science and a D-Lab Data Science Fellow. My primary research interests are military organizations, policing, the determinants of political violence, and causal inference. I am also interested in creating tools to make software easier to use for non-technical political scientists.
