Organizing and the Qualitative Data Analysis Process

I have my data. Now what? The main focus of the workshop will be organizing and why it is the first step to the qualitative data analysis process. We will discuss several approaches to organizing data and how to use Atlas.TI in the process. The training will outline the key decisions the researcher must make about the unit of analysis, the coding approach, and what data is most relevant, as well as review the use of folders, codes, and attributes in Atlas. TI.

Analytical Tools in Atlas.TI

As a part of this training we will address what "analysis" means for qualitative data and how using a software program can assist in the process. This will include a discussion of fine and broad coding and the use of queries including how the researcher can use folders, codes, and attributes to aid the analytical process.
