Evan earned his PhD in Biological Anthropology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale where he focused on spatial patterns of skeletal and dental variation in two large necropoles of Iron Age Central Italy (1st millennium BCE).
Students will be introduced to the basics of machine learning using the caret R package. They will learn proper syntax for model construction, changing model tuning parameters, comparing models, and visualizing their outputs.
Prior knowledge:
R for Data Science Days 1-3 or equivalent experience
