Adrienne Tanner, CIP, has been working at UC Berkeley’s Office for the Protection of Human Subjects (OPHS) for over 6 years where she serves as IRB Administrator for one of UC Berkeley’s two IRB Committees, CPHS-1. In addition to her CPHS -1 responsibilities, Adrienne reviews expedited applications, assists with OPHS staff training, helps to manage eProtocol, and participates in education outreach seminars locally and nationally. She has successfully completed all requirements of the Council for Certification and is recognized as a Certified IRB Professional (CIP).
Colleen Kohashi, MA, CIP, joined the University of California Berkeley’s Office for the Protection of Human Subjects (OPHS) in April 2009. Colleen, a graduate of American University (BA, International Studies) and Columbia University (MA, International Education) is a former Fulbright Grantee. Upon joining OPHS, she became the lead IRB coordinator tasked with supporting multi-campus applications for the UC system. In addition to her multi-campus responsibilities, Colleen reviews expedited applications and also participates in many of OPHS’ education outreach seminars.
Leon Wong is a CISSP certified information security analyst at UC Berkeley's campus Information Security and Policy office. At UC Berkeley, Leon is leading the effort to develop campus wide information security guidelines to help administrative and academic units implement information security best practices. As a member of the campus security team, Leon is also working to establish an information risk assessment process to help campus units meet campus security policies and regulatory requirements, including California state CPHS data security requirements.
