Dr. Nikki Jones is an Associate Professor in the African American Studies Department. As an urban ethnographer, she focuses on race and ethnic relations, criminal justice, and the intersections of race, gender, and justice. Her most recent book "Between Good and Ghetto: African American Girls and Inner City Violence" explores how African American girls negotiate high crime neighborhoods. She received her PhD in Sociology and Criminology from University of Pennsylvania.
