Rachel is a PhD student in Education Policy & Organizations with a specialization in Higher Education Administration. Using a Black feminist epistemology, Rachel evaluates the political economy of public higher education. Her work employs a number of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and utilizes a range of conceptual frameworks, but at the heart of Rachel's work is a deep commitment to uplifting agency and equity for historically marginalized students and communities. Within the D-Lab, Rachel serves as the orientation and outreach lead and is also one of the co-coordinators of Digital Humanities at Berkeley.
