Join Kari Peterson, Associate Director of Data Analysis at Haas Development & Alumni Relations and founder of the Cal Data Visualization Network, for this workshop on best practices for communicating your data visually. We'll be covering terminology, color theory, how to pick a viz, tips for how to make sure your viz says what you want it to say, and more.

This workshop will not cover specific software, but rather, will cover foundational concepts around data viz that will help you master a variety of software more quickly. A laptop is not required for this workshop, but there will be a hands-on component.

Knowledge Requirements: No prerequisites

Technology Requirements: No accounts needed, aside from bConnected or personal Google account (optional)

No software needed, Excel is optional 

Laptop or mobile device is optional
