D-Lab is expanding its staff in Analytic Support - Methodology and Tools. We're searching for an Academic Coordinator I to lead the team that supports D-Lab's users in acquiring competencies in research design, methodology, and analytic approaches and software. Responsibilities:
- Planning and oversight of training offerings, consultants, working groups, and course list
- Planning and oversight of development of reference materials and collections
- Planning of academic and special events
- Communication and external relations on campus relevant to Analytic Support
- Participation in internal leadership and coordination
Minimum Application Qualifications:
- MA/MS or equivalent degree in a social science discipline
Additional Qualifications:
- A PhD preferred or equivalent in a social science discipline by the start date
- Broad familiarity with research design, methodologies, and tools/software across several disciplines
- Capacity to discuss research and methodology at a high level with faculty from across the social sciences
- Demonstrated leadership skill
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, fluid, and collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking skills

Anticipated start date of the position is January 2014. The position is for one year with the possibility of extension. Salary range is $46,644 - $58,272, plus benefits.
