Jack Burris has been working in IT since 1994, starting as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was invited to India in 1997 to help wire the Tibetan government in exile onto the Internet. He has since worked in both the commercial sector and, for the last 15 years, with UCSF and UC Berkeley.
