Introduction to Stata and how to apply quantitative methods to your research ideas

This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of using the statistical analytical package STATA. It will cover how to import, code, and analyze data in STATA. It also includes an introduction to STATA’s graphing capabilities. Workshop participants are encouraged to bring their research ideas (even if they are still very “vague”) to the discussion session. I will offer suggestions on how to apply quantitative methods to your research ideas, and how STATA (or other statistical software packages) may help your research. Please feel free to use the workshop as an incubator for your next (or first) quantitative empirical project.
