Keith Feldman is an Assistant Professor in the Ethnic Studies Department at UC Berkeley. His current research theorizes and narrates the connections between U.S. imperial culture and changing geopolitical engagements with West Asia, North Africa, the Arab and Muslim world, and Israel/Palestine. His first book analyzes a broad archive of texts that mediate and contest the entanglement between the post-civil rights United States and Israel's post-1967 occupation of Palestinian territory. His other research explores the visual culture of "post-racial imaginary" in the age of Obama, and how race and religion are used to establish war as a strategy of political power.
