Hannah Laqueur is a member of the D-lab services team. She is a Ph.D. Candidate in Jurisprudence and Social Policy at UC Berkeley Law, with field specializations in law and economics and criminal justice policy, and is pursuing a Masters degree in Biostatistics. Before coming to graduate school she worked as a policy analyst at the New York City Mayor’s Office. Her research interests include drug policy, policing, judgment and decision-making, and social influence processes. Her current work uses computer text processing and machine learning tools to analyze California Parole Suitability Hearing transcripts to examine system actor behaviors and the determinants of release.
