Working Group Coordinator, Social Media Research

Cherise McBride is a Ph.D. student in Berkeley’s Graduate School of Education. Her research lies at the intersection of literacy, digital technologies, and teacher development. She has taught courses on Digital Pedagogy, Urban Education, and English Education Practicum at UC Berkeley and Stanford, as well as English Composition at the community college level. Prior to joining the GSE, Cherise was a high school English teacher and teacher-consultant with the Bay Area Writing Project, where she continues to lead professional development with K-12 teachers. She has presented her research on numerous occasions including at the Digital Media and Learning Conference, the American Education Research Association, and the National Writing Project.
