Charlie is an economic sociologist who combines quantitative and qualitative methods to study relationships between organizations, politics, social policy, and inequality. His work has been published in Politics & Society and Socio-Economic Review. His dissertation shows how the spread of finance ideologies has contributed to new inequalities through the financialization of U.S. Higher Education. He is beginning a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford in the fall of 2016.
