D-Lab is starting out with teaching, training, and consulting. As we grow, we will add services around data use, hardware, and software. No grand party (yet), just come by and see what we have to offer.

WORKSHOPS: If you've registered for a workshop, you should receive a confirmation email soon, and reminder emails before the event.

Digital humanities and social sciences

Professor Cohen’s special seminar will cover several important themes in the digital humanities and social sciences, including: - How are digital archives and collections different? What impact do they have on scholarly research? - How do we extract meaningful information from digital sources to support scholarly argumentation? - When and why should one create a digital object or publication? - What is the nature of scholarly discourse in the age of digital communication?

Passion-Driven Statistics

In this project-based course, you will have the opportunity to answer a question that you feel passionately about through independent research based on existing data. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in generating testable hypotheses, preparing data for analysis, conducting descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, and presenting research findings.
