Designated Emphasis in Computational Biology

The Designated Emphasis (DE) in Computational and Genomic Biology is a specialization applicable to Ph.D. students in select programs with research interests in computational biology, which we refer to as our Associated Programs.

M.A. in Statistics

Effective Fall 2012, current UCB students interested in obtaining an M.A. degree in Statistics beyond the 2012-13 academic year will have to apply during our regular admissions cycle to be considered for admission to the M.A. degree program and, if admitted, be officially enrolled in the M.A. program for two semesters and pay the PDST (Professional Degree Supplemental Tuition).

M.A. in Biostatistics

The Group in Biostatistics has produced 170 MA graduates. Some students pursuing the MA intend to go on for a Ph.D. but many others take research, statistical and analytical positions in federal agencies, state and local health departments, health care delivery organizations and private industry.
